In my continued attempt to make up for the last several months of neglecting my blog I had to document our one and only snow of the year. I believe it was back in February. My kids were asking and asking all winter long when it was going to snow. They automatically think that just because it is winter it MUST snow. The anticipated day finally arrived. It was just a little more than a dusting and was mostly melted by lunch time but they played and had a blast for those few hours. I had to throw in a picture of Addy in her snow suit. Something tells me she doesn't like being a walking marshmallow baby.
When it turns 90 for the first time this week (and beyond!) I am going to refer to these wonderful pictures!! They know how to have fun even though the snow was gone in a blink this year!
Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them... Psalm 127: 3-5
Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine within your house, Your children like olive plants around your table. Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord. Psalm 128: 3-4
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5: 2-3
For this commandment which I command you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it out of reach. It is not in heaven, that you should say, 'Who will go up to heaven for us to get it for us and make us hear it, that we may observe it?' Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, 'Who will cross the sea for us to get it for us and make us hear it, that we may observe it?' But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may observe it. Deuteronomy 30: 11-14
Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. Deuteronomy 6: 4-7
